Floor 1 Friends

Floor 1 is the ground floor of cat-school and the lobby you spawn in. Detention from hall monitors or purrfessors always returns you here. Early lists counted about 65 Cat Friends on this floor, including two Secret Cat Friends (Grim and Sapphire). Later Friday drops pushed the morph count higher, so treat this page as a cluster catalog, not a frozen 65-name checklist.

Clear Floor 1 in clusters. Do not zigzag the whole map for one missing badge. Pair this catalog with the route on Floor 1 and the ranks on Morphs Tier List Hub. Secrets that need extra steps are expanded on Secret Friends.

Lobby cluster

The cages nearest spawn are the S-tier starters for progression: Tex, Oreo, Luna, and Lucky. Approximate badge win-rates: Oreo ~100%, Tex ~100%, Lucky 95%, Luna 89%. You can see these cats from the lobby. Rescue them first so you have morphs to wear before you enter monitored halls.

Nearby halls add Socks, Cody, Scooter, Robbie, and Tina. These are still Cat Friends, just one room off spawn. If a video timestamp starts with Tex/Oreo/Luna/Lucky, you are in this cluster. Do not spend Robux here. Nothing in the lobby requires the Busted Teleport Remote.

Patches is often grouped with the cafeteria, but many players grab Patches (win-rate ~98%) in the same first five minutes as the lobby cages. If you only have time for one session, leave with Oreo, Tex, Lucky, Luna, and Patches. That set is the entire S-tier “easy high-visibility” band for Floor 1.

Cafeteria

The cafeteria is the second cluster. Patches, Badger, and Marshmallow sit in easy sight lines. Meowster Chef and Foreman Fuzz are kitchen-adjacent Cat Friends. Sheriff Mittens, Rover, and Spot live in the nearby staff/utility rooms that students treat as part of the same pass.

The cafeteria is also where Floor 1 secrets start. Grim hides in a small side room marked with a cat graphic; it is a Secret Cat Friend, not a lobby cage. Sapphire is the other Floor 1 secret: drop to the large scratching post in the cafeteria, walk a false wall, then finish the obby room. Players who “cannot find Sapphire” are usually staring at the post instead of walking through the wall at its base.

Watch hall monitors on the cafeteria floor. This room has long sight lines. If you sprint with Catnip across open tables, you will eat detention and respawn in the lobby. Clear the easy cages first, then do Grim, then Sapphire, so a detention does not waste a half-finished obby.

Secret and wall cats

Floor 1 trains you to distrust painted walls. Besides Sapphire’s false wall, later videos show cat-face paintings you can walk through (players have used this pattern for holiday guests such as Queen of Hearts near the tray stacks). If a wall has a cat graphic that does not match the brick, test it. Do not assume every wall cat is always in the game; limited guests rotate out.

Cookie, Hotcat, Snowflake, and Crescent sit in side rooms off the cafeteria/hall loop. Skelly (win-rate ~41%) is a B-tier Cat Friend: visible once you know the room, easy to miss on a first pass. Bo is another side-room morph that location videos timestamp after Skelly.

If a morph is Angel or Lucifur, stop looking for a Floor 1 cage. Those two are Robux-gated secrets tied to the Busted Teleport Remote. They do not belong in a free Floor 1 clear. Rank them D for progression on the Morphs Tier List Hub.

Space and pirate rooms

The themed wing off the main hall holds the space and pirate cluster: Catstronaut, Scallywhiskers, Detective Rufus, Racer, P1nkbOt, Bellatrix, and Astro. Captain Poppy and Hades sit in the pirate-adjacent rooms. Hero Oreo is the “upgraded” Oreo look in this deeper wing, not the lobby Oreo cage.

Fox (~66%), Smokey (~64%), and Puma (~50%) are A/B-tier Cat Friends in this deeper loop. They are free, they look strong, and they need more walking than lobby cages. Grab them after the cafeteria secrets so you are not backtracking through monitors.

Sprout, Jokester, Oxfurd, Taco Gato, Samurai Cat, and Princess Butterfly close the themed pass. If a badge is missing from this wing, rewatch those timestamps instead of restarting from spawn.

Knights: Galahad, Arthur, Lancelot, Scully

The knight cluster is the Floor 1 parkour exam: Galahad, Arthur, Lancelot (sometimes labeled Lanelot in video titles), and Scully. Public win-rates sit much lower than lobby cats (Galahad has been listed near 17%). That is why the Morphs Tier List Hub parks them in B: extra keys, extra jumps, mid win-rate, still free.

Do this cluster after you know the red, green, and blue key loop. Spring Shoes help; they are not mandatory if you can time the jumps. A Teacher’s Pet morph helps you reach the knight rooms without detention. If you keep falling, leave the knights for a second session rather than burning Catnip sprints in front of a purrfessor.

Nearby Tiger, Meowshimi, Rufus, Emerald, Stella, Patsy, Blossom, Mjowsten, and Guppy sit on the walk back. Grab them so you do not run the parkour twice.

Floor 1 is done when lobby S-tier, cafeteria secrets, space-pirate rooms, and knights are checked. Remaining names are Friday extras, limited guests, or Robux secrets. Use Getting Started for the morph menu, and Shop Gear if cafeteria monitors keep sending you to detention.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Cat-School rescues, morphs, and Friday drops.

Which Floor 1 cats should I rescue first?

Tex, Oreo, Luna, and Lucky in the lobby, then Patches. Those five are the high-visibility S-tier starters. Do not start with knights or Sapphire.

Where are Grim and Sapphire?

Both are Floor 1 Secret Cat Friends. Grim is in a small cafeteria side room with a cat graphic. Sapphire is behind a false wall at the base of the large cafeteria scratching post, then an obby.

Do I need Robux for Floor 1?

No. The lobby, cafeteria, space-pirate, and knight clusters are free. Angel and Lucifur are the Robux exceptions; skip them until you want D-tier collection pieces.

Why is Skelly harder than Oreo?

Skelly's badge win-rate sits near 41% because the room is off the main lobby sight line. It is still a free Cat Friend, ranked B for extra searching, not because it costs Robux.

How do I reach Galahad, Arthur, Lancelot, and Scully?

They share a parkour/key cluster on Floor 1. Bring Spring Shoes if you own them, learn the colored keys first, and wear a Teacher's Pet if staff keep catching you on the approach.

Does detention reset Floor 1 friends?

No. You respawn in the Floor 1 lobby, but every friend you already rescued stays unlocked. Only your current position is lost.
